Getting to Alberta

Alberta is connected to Canada by the Trans Canada, (east-west) Highway which runs through Calgary and the south of the province and the Yellowhead Highway which passes through Edmonton in the northern regions.

VIA Rail also operates a train service through Edmonton on its way between Toronto and Vancouver. The Rocky Mountaineer connects Vancouver to Calgary.

Calgary airport is one of Canada’s busiest international terminals and Edmonton also has good links to the USA and some direct European flights.
