Devonian Gardens

317 7th Ave SW
Calgary AB

Devonian Gardens is a peaceful indoor park located in the heart of downtown Calgary. The Gardens opened in September 1977 and have been a favourite destination for local and international tourists, downtown workers, and Calgarians too. It is also a venue for special events, corporate functions and weddings.

Spanning three levels in TD Square at 317 7th Ave SW, Devonian Gardens is one of the world's largest indoor parks. Today, it houses 20,000 plants representing more than 135 varieties of flora.

Devonian Gardens is a great place to break from the hustle and bustle of busy downtown life or to seek relief from the cold weather. You can follow meandering flower-banked pathways to the Quiet Garden, a secluded woodland setting nestled in the Gardens' north west corner; stroll along tree-decked plazas, past waterfalls and fountains into the Sun Garden; feed the fish and turtles; enjoy the artwork and sculpture displays or let the kids burn off energy in the playground; in the summer, bask in the sunshine streaming through the open roof of the Reflecting Pond (Reflecting Pond is open for the summer only). And best of all, it's free!
