Missionís southern boundary is the mighty Fraser River. The river is home to some of the best sturgeon fishing in North America. Sturgeon in the area are known to exceed 1200 lbs and over 14 feet in length. Sport fishing in general has become one of the more popular activities for local residents with anglers enjoying fishing for salmon, sturgeon, steelhead, trout, and char. Fraser River Heritage Park

Fraser River Heritage Park is located at one of the most breathtakingly beautiful locations to be found anywhere. The site of many community activities, including weekly Wednesday & Friday evening concerts at the bandstand during the summer months. Major events at the park include the Mission Folk Music Festival in July and Old Car Sunday held annually on Fatherís Day.
