About HI-Penticton

Welcome to Penticton - Pen-Tak-Tin - Translated to its Salish Indian meaning means "A place to stay forever." Forever is a long time, but definitely a place like Penticton makes one think that they could stay forever. With over 2000 hours of sunshine annually, Penticton offers natural beauty all year round. Located in the Okanagan region, Penticton is surrounded by cliffs perfect for rockcliming, lakes for water sports, rivers for tubing, perfect paths for mountain biking, vineyards for wine-tasting and a great lakefront for picnicking and sunbathing.

HI-Penticton is located in the heart of downtown - only one block away for a variety of restaurants, pubs, clubs and shops and a short 3 block walk to the the sandy shores of Okanagan Lake.

Guests can expect a relaxed, home-away-from-home feel when staying at the HI-Penticton hostel, a renovated 1908 heritage home. The friendly staff know how to add those special touches that make many initial one-nighters want to extend their stay in the beautiful land of peaches and beaches!
