This clock was built in 1907, and was located on Hastings street at Granville. Birks was moved to Granville and Georgia. It was eventually moved across the street from its original location when Birks moved to Granville at Hastings in 1994. The plaque on the Birks building tells on which corner the famous clock originally stood and where it went before returning here in 1994.
