Vancouver 's Plaza of Nations complex was built as the hub to Expo 86. The enormous glass and metal structure is now one of the most popular special event locations and convention centres in Vancouver.
Plaza of Nations With over 140,000 sq ft of indoor and outdoor space for performances, festivals, exhibitions and receptions, this facility is unique for downtown Vancouver and its location on the north shore of False Creek by BC Place in Yaletown is easily accessible by skytrain, bus, car, aquabus, watertaxi, False Creek Ferries or on foot. The glass walled facility provides unobstructed views of Vancouver , False Creek and the surrounding mountains. An unique feature for any venue of this type.
At the Plaza of Nations you will find the main Plaza Stage designed for large events and is suitable to accommodate over 10,000 people.
The glass covered outdoor amphitheatre is the only one of its kind in Western Canada.
