Sustainability in Nova Scotia

The Three Sisters Interpretive Centre in Eatonville has been built with green business practices in mind. The building has a fixed solar array on its roof, argon-filled windows for passive solar heating, solar-powered water, septic and air exchange pumps, and floor made of old growth Red Spruce trees which had been infected with the damaging Spruce Bark Beetle.
