St. Lawrence Islands National Park of Canada

This park is the tiniest among all the national parks of Canada. However, even if it's tiny- having 9 square kilometers, it's a valuable part of the entire web of parks in this country. It was established as a national park in 1914 and it is located in Ontario, being also at the middle of the Thousand Islands tourist area, near the St. Lawrence River. The islands - 21 in this park, used to be mountains that were covered in water, the tip of them remaining on the outside. The islands and islets are only available by boat, and the trip can be very entertaining. On the islands, you can hike or even stay for a few days camping in these areas.
