At the corner of West and Main Street, the Cenotaph is erected in memory of local residents who gave their lives in both World Wars. The gun located nearby was installed by ex-members of the 166th (Newfoundland) Field Regiment R.A. in memory of the soldiers of Western Newfoundland who fell in the wars of the Commonwealth.
