Location Information

LOUISBOURG is a great place for adults and kids to stay for more than 1 day/night. We have so much more to offer beside the fabulous Fortress. Discover the town with its hidden gems like the Marine Museum, S&L Railway Station. Visit the Louisbourg Lighthouse, the place of the first lighthouse in Canada. Learn about the First Nations.
Spend an evening at the Louisbourg Playhouse. Meet great artists and talk to them after the show.

But first of all come to the Visitor Information Centre, meet the friendly staff. They will answer all your questions and will help you to have a great time in Louisbourg.

Walk along 'Main Street', take a coffee, tea or hot chocolate at Judy's Lil'l cafe. Have a look what's new in the shops, visit the 'Marine Museum'. It's fascinating!
Walk the Promenade and watch life at the harbour.

Now you want to relax and you are hungry. There's a great place with awesome price-winning food - The Grubstake Restaurant. In an atmosphere that you will love from the first moment you can enjoy delicious food.
You are more the type for 'sweet stuff', then you are at the right place, too. You'll love the different cakes!

You need a combination of food and exercise? Visit 'Station House Restaurant' with Mini Golf and Go Carts.

One day for the Fortress isn't enough to learn and hear all the interesting stories about life in the 18 th century. NO PROBLEM. Having accommodation in Louisbourg gives you the chance to continue your visit the next day FREE OF CHARGE.

You love nature and animals, your kids like to run around and would like to have a BBQ. All that you'll find at the Two Rivers Wildlife Park, right at the doorstep to Louisbourg. In the evening you can visit special events at the Playhouse or the Fortress.

Your kids want to stay at 'home' (=Wolvespack Cottage B&B), I'll take care of them.

Enjoy your visit to Louisbourg!
