Ontario - yours to discover

Any visit to Ontario should include a trip to some of the most memorable spots. These include:

Canada’s national capital city lies in the most eastern part of Ontario on the southern bank of the Ottawa River across from the province of Quebec. Explore the political and legal centre of Canada, browse the art galleries and museums and, in winter, ice skate on the Rideau Canal – the world’s longest ice rink.

CN Tower
Toronto claims to be the home of “The World’s Tallest Building”. The CN Tower reaches up 553m (1,815ft) above the city with panoramic views over Lake Ontario and Toronto. Discover dining at the top at 360 Restaurant, the highest revolving restaurant in the world.

Niagara Falls
Gaze over the edge of the waterfalls at Niagara Falls or look up at them from the Maid of the Mist boat tours. More than 12 million people annually visit Niagara Falls. This massive natural spectacle has been a visitor attraction for hundreds of years and is one of the most visited spots in all of Canada. Niagara Falls is packed with many other activity for all the family.

Niagara Wine Region
Ontario’s booming wine industry can be discovered on the southern side of Lake Ontario. Award winning wines are available at tastings throughout the summer.

Whitewater Rafting
Some of Canada’s best whitewater can be found on the Ottawa River. The rafting is available to people of all ages and skill levels.

Canada’s theatre scene is centred around two small towns in southern Ontario. The annual Shakespeare Festival in Stratford and Shaw Festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Each summer both these communities put on world-class productions of works by William Shakespeare
