Canada's southern most city lies directly across the Detroit River from the US city of Detroit. Grapes grow easily in this warm climate with wineries scattered across the Region. Nearby Pelee National Park is a major attraction for visitors, many of whom travel the short distance from the United States across the Ambassador Bridge or through the Detroit Windsor Tunnel.
Windsor is an extremely multicultural city with almost a quarter of its residents coming from outside Canada. Wandering the streets of Windsor will take you through some of the varied cultural neighbourhoods including Italian, Asian, and Middle Eastern. This influence can best be experienced by visitors through the many excellent restaurants and year-round festivals.
